Ema Austin is conceived as an immersive dining environment inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of the Mediterranean. Working as Architect of Record in collaboration with the interior design team at Lettuce Entertain You, coXist Studio helped translate a vision that transports guests beyond Austin into a setting that feels both relaxed and richly layered.

The design blends natural materials, soft textures, and abundant greenery to evoke an indoor-outdoor experience reminiscent of coastal European dining. A palette of light woods, woven elements, stone, and plaster is paired with filtered light and lush planting to create a sense of ease and intimacy. Anchored by a central bar and complemented by a tree-filled dining room and open-air patio, the space unfolds as a series of connected moments that encourage gathering, lingering, and exploration.

Every element is composed to support the culinary experience, creating an atmosphere where the architecture, interiors, and cuisine work together to deliver a cohesive and memorable sense of place.
